Roland TD9S
The Roland TD-9S V-Tour Electronic Drum Set could be considered the baby brother of the TD-9SX.
It’s comes with the same Module, the Roland TD9, so you get all the same functionality as you would with the SX.
The only difference between the two are the pads and the three trigger ride cymbal, oh yeah, and the price.
So if you’re on a budget this kit is great option. You still get the snare drum mesh head with this kit, the PDX-8 Mesh Pad, which give that familiar acoustic feel on the drum head and bounce right off the sticks.
But the toms on this kit are replaced with Roland’s PD-8 Dual pad. This is a gum rubber pad, and yes, it is a dual trigger pad. So you can assign two distinct sounds to it using the TD9 Module, one on the pad and one on the rim.
